We love a fun adventure. We LOVE being cheap. and when those two passions collide...watch out! We started off at the $2 a sack rummage sale at the Methodist Church. Fill your paper bag grocery sack with whatever you can for only $2. Mine was only about 3/4 full when I checked out and the nice man said "Say! That's not full!" So he picked up the box of toys Zeleta had been busy playing with and told me to fill up that sack with toys! We played at the Children's Museum today for free. Well...actually there was a car show in town and the local car dealer, Bennett Motors, was picking up the tab for those who went today. But I went in saying "I heard it was free day!" and they said no it's part of the car show...did you go to the car show?...ummmmm... then there was a voice in the back that said "and this is the part where you say YES I did" and then we went inside to play. Zeleta loved it and I was really impressed with the fun games and interaction there. At first I was a little impatient that we were in a new place and Zeleta was amazed by the first display of a fish and magnets. She stayed there a LONG time. I wanted to see it all!!!! but we eventually made it to see everything but not play with everything before it was...lunch time! Zeleta was exhausted from all that playing so she took a quick nap on our way to Sam's Club which we fed her free samples for lunch when she awoke from her slumber. Then home for a rest and play time. We ended our day going to a Spaghetti Feed at another church for a 10 yr old girl who was having a fundraiser to go to the National ice skating competition in Omaha Nebraska. We sat next to an old lady who was a captive audience for Zeleta to entertain.
It's a good day to be a baby carpenter
I saw this mural and thought of a great idea: how about Zeleta being Curious George?
and this was the reality after trying for a while to make it work:
Here's Zeleta with one of her new toys and a bib to make her look like Super Baby! and she's kneeling because I was while trying to get this picture.
