Zeleta Loves Playing in the Snow

This morning Zeleta and I went out to play in the snow.  We played in the car (daddy had a heck of a time trying to push it around in the snow), Zeleta learned how to eat snow (but did whitewash herself a few times while getting the mechanisms down pat) and pushed snowballs under the dog fence (for Diamond the dog that is out during the summer).  All in all it was a really funny time, except for her not being able to get up when she falls ("Raphie I can't get up").

Zeleta is excited about all the Christmas decorations

Finals ended on Tuesday and to celebrate Wednesday while Zeleta was taking her nap I put up the Christmas decorations outside.  After Zeleta woke up we played with her blocks downstairs.  After awhile I told her I'd be right back, but that I needed to get some food out of the outside freezer for dinner.  When I came back inside Zeleta grabbed me by the hand saying: "Come mer daddy." multiple times.  When we reached the living room she told me: "Look daddy, Minnie."  And we looked out the window and just laugh and jumped around saying "Minnie, Minnie, Minnie."  Of course as soon as I good my phone out she stopped. But, at 5pm when we turned on our lights Zeleta didn't care that the camera was on, she just kept running back and forth to play with Mickey and Minnie.  She had a blast.  Here is a short video of the encounter.

Mickey!!! (and playing in the snow)

This is our prized treasure from the after Christmas sale last year...a blow up Mickey Mouse. Zeleta has really enjoyed it too. She wants Mickey to hold her puppy and then got her own chair to get on his level.

Playing in the Snow. (with ALL her winter gear. Aka snowpants and snowboots are difficult to walk around in)

reading books and slurps

This video is precious, but you have to really listen at the beginning. Zeleta is reading "A Cow in the Cabbage Patch" Each farm animal is in the wrong place and as the farmer puts them away he finds a new animal to put away in the right place (barn, stable, hen house, pig pen). The last page reads "Tell them all it's dinnertime, and then it wont be long Till all these naughty animals are back where they belong." Zeleta is saying dinnertime, dinnertime. and then What should we do? which is what the farmer says every time he finds an animal in the wrong place. After the first little bit she's just playing and being silly.

WARNING! This video is Zeleta slurping her milk. Slurps are usually the equivalent to nails on a chalk board to me, but since she's pretending to be a puppy it's adorable.

Flag! Flag! Flag!

Zeleta made her own flag out of a material bag and a fly swatter. She is also wearing Jeremy's swimming flippers.
